Kladsko Borderland Trail

The Kladsko Borderland trail is entirely connected to the Český ráj (Bohemian Paradise) and Podkrkonoší region trails by the riding station in Vítězná /1/, continues until Sovinec /2/ over Liščí hora (Liščí Mountain) to Hajnice, Proruby to Litoboř /3/. From here you will pass through the most beautiful part to Babiččino údolí (Babiččino valley). Here it is well worth dismounting from your horse and taking a look at how life was like during the times of Božena Němcová in Staré Bělidlo or at the Ratibořice chateau. At Česká Skalice the green bridleway joins from the south from Hradec Králové, the blue trail then turns to the north through Studnice to Trubějov to Kostelecké končiny. Continue on through Dolní Vernéřovice /4/ to Jívka. The trail leads to Horní Adršpach to the extensive sandstone rock town. There is a tourist circuit which crosses the rocks, where you can not only see beautiful rock formations and waterfalls but you can also swim in the rocky lake. The area was declared a strictly protected national nature reservation, and therefore it is not possible to visit it on horseback.

From Hradec Králové to Babička (Grandmother)

From Hradec Králové the green trail leads from Rusek through Nový ples to the village of Jásenná. From here continue through Šestajovice to Nahořany, to the Rozkoš reservoir and then on to the village of Provodov-Šonov. It is well worth visiting the unique riding station here, where they breed “Fríské” horses /5/. Here, not far from Česká Skalice, the green trail joins the blue one. After passing through Babiččino údolí (Babiččino valley) it is possible to visit another riding station called Donarova samota in Litoboř, where children’s camps are held all year round and where it is possible to try the effects of hippo-therapy. /3/
