Fairytale trail Pomezní Boudy, Horní Malá Úpa
Hiking: Pomezní Boudy, Horní Malá Úpa
Starting point: Pomezní Boudy
Route: the route takes you through Horní and Dolní Malá Úpa and is ideal on foot. Most of the route can be negotiated on bikes but not all of it
The fairytale trail is 17 km long and on the way you will stop at 10 stations with fairytales from the Czech author Marie Kubátová. These fairytales are located on wooden stands and are translated into English, German and Polish. In addition, there are various interesting wooden attractions waiting for children at the stations e.g. swings, a slide, an observation veranda. The trail can be divided into several circuits and 95 % of them can be negotiated easily with a pushchair. In the information center at Pomezní Boudy you can buy for a small charge a brochure with a map and with ten squares for drawing relief ornaments. These are located at each station and your task is to find and draw the ornaments in the brochure with a pencil or crayon. After correctly drawing all 10 stations you will get a Maloúpský groš (Maloúpský coin) as a reward from the information center.
Points of tourist interest along the route: small weir in Eliščino údolí (Eliščino valley), former diving bridge, Church sv. Petra a Pavla (Church of St. Peter and Paul)
