Educational trail – in the footsteps of J. A. Comenius, Žacléř

Starting point: Rýchorské náměstí (Rýchorské square) - Žacléř

Route: The route goes through Žacléř and the adjacent settlements – Rýchory, Prkenný Důl, Vernířovice, Bobr and Černá Voda. The last panel is located at Růžový palouček (Pink Meadow). The whole length of the route can be negotiated either on foot or bicycle.

The nature trail has a total of 17 panels which stand in the town of Žacléř and its surroundings. It is named after Jan Amos Comenius who had to leave his beloved homeland in 1628 and flee into exile. Panel No.1 is located on Rýchorské náměstí (Rýchorské square), the last panel No.17 is at Růžový palouček (Pink Meadow). They bring one closer to the life and major works of J. A. Comenius. The Žacléř nature trail is 16 km long, on bikes or walking it promises both nice and educational trip.

Points of tourist interest along the route: monument zone of the town of Žacléř, Rýchorské náměstí, Růžový palouček (where J. A. Comenius deserted his homeland), Žacléř chateau, Church Nejsvětější trojice (Church of the Holy Trinity), Jiří head frame
