The beauty of cutoff, pools and mysterious swamps of the River Labe (Elbe) and the River Orlice fascinate the Czech as well as the foreign visitor. Thanks to the protected Natural Park Orlice not only fish can enjoy the ideal life conditions.

Swimming in flooded sand pits and ponds, fishing in rivers and creeks, this all is near Hradec Králové. Fishermen finalize the local color of the district town. You see them on both banks of the River Labe (Elbe) and the River Orlice, even in the center of the town.

The sport fishing is organized by the Czech Fishing Association via its local organizations (MO). Over 200 fishing districts are available in the Hradec Králové Region, they include all running water in the region, flooded sand pits and chosen ponds. Districts are divided according to the type of water and available fish - trout and coarse fishing waters.

Coarse fishing water district Bystřice 1 - from the outfall into Cidlina in Chlumec nad Cidlinou up to the weir of Divoký mlýnek at Třesice pond. The district includes also flooded sand pits: Kosičky I. and II. and Stará Voda.

Coarse fishing water district Cidlina 3 - from the weir at Loukonosy up to the weir Myškov at the mill in Mlékostrby + Mlýnská Bystřice.

Coarse fishing water district Bystřice 2 - from the weir of Divoký mlýnek at Třesice pond up to the weir of the mill Boharyně and newly created basin of the River Bystřice. The district includes the following flooded sand pits: Puchlovický, Obědovický and Lhotecký.

Coarse fishing water district Bystřice 3 - from the weir of the mill Boharyně up to the bridge Sadová - Lípa. The district includes the following water reservoirs: Dolní Přím, Mokrovousy, Mlýnská, Požárník, Hrádek, Návesní, Splav, Komárov, Kuchař, Probluz and Barťák.

Coarse fishing water district Labe 31 - from the weir in Opatovice nad Labem up to the cadastral borders of Lochenice and Smiřice and a part of Opatovice canal. The district also includes cutoffs and flooded sand pits of following municipalities: Hradec Králové, Předměřice nad Labem, Lochenice and Opatovice nad Labem - north of Opatovice canal, namely Správčický, Rusecký, Plačický and Opatovický flooded sand pits.

Coarse fishing water district Orlice 1 - from the junction with the River Labe (Elbe) up to the weir of former mill Podhůrky in Svinárky. The district includes cutoffs and flooded sand pits on either side of the river.

Trout district Stříbrný potok (creek) 1 - from the bridge at Stříbrný pond up to the dam of Výskyt pond.

The East Bohemia regional association and chosen local organizations issue permits for foreigners with validity of 1 day, week, month or year. The permit is valid together with the passport and national fishing permit that can be bought at municipal authorities.
